4. Snow Leopard

If you want to impress your friends with something unique, while also making them scared for their lives, you will have to move to Missouri and get a snow leopard!

An interesting fact about the state of Missouri is that they don’t include this carnivore “pet” on their list of “dangerous wild animals”, but you must have a chat with the local law enforcement.

However, if you are one of Montana’s residents, you can get one even though you don’t have a permit.

5. Kangaroo

There are many people who want to jump around with a kangaroo or cuddle with them. If you want to have fun with one of these animals, you can raise one in Colorado or Arizona.

However, you have to keep in mind that you can’t kidnap a kangaroo and you shouldn’t make them mad either. If you do so, you have all the chances of getting beaten by your pet.

6. Red Fox

You can find three species of native foxes on the territory of our beautiful country. The most popular one is the red fox, which you can happily raise as a pet if you live in Virginia, Utah, or Wyoming.

Make sure that you don’t sell or breed them if you are a resident of Virginia because the state doesn’t allow it! Another thing that you have to keep in mind is the fact that your red fox pet might have a different coloration compared to the ones who live in the wild.

7. Elephant

If you are lucky enough to have a big backyard, you can make your family happy by getting an elephant as a pet. You’ll surely be the star of the neighborhood, but feeding and cleaning after them is no fun.

If you live in Nevada, you don’t need a permit to have an elephant at home, but you need a lot of space and patience!
