1. TigerĀ

If a tiny and moody cat is too boring for you, then you might consider getting a tiger instead. If you have an Exotic Wildlife Possession permit and if you live in the state of Pennsylvania, you can get yourself a giant cat.

Several studies have discovered that unfortunately, there are more tigers as pets than exist in the wild. I don’t know about you, but I would be extremely scared to own an exotic animal that might actually kill me.

2. Anteater

We all know that there are a lot of famous people out there who have weird pets just because they can. If you want to be one of those people who are not afraid of exotic animals, you can get yourself an anteater, but only if you live in the state of Oregon and you also have a permit.

Anteaters are animals that are banned as pets in many states of the country, such as Georgia or New Hampshire, so make sure to do your research beforehand.

3. Anaconda

Anaconda snakes are from the tropical forests of South America and they are the largest snakes in the world by weight and length. You are allowed to keep an anaconda as a pet in Vermont, but only if you get a permit for one.

If you want to have one of these at home, make sure you have the right food for them. According to several animal experts, when they live in the wild, anacondas can eat tapirs, which are mammiferous and can weigh up to 700 pounds.
