3. Alaskan Malamute

Life span: up to 16 years

These dogs were originally bred to be sleigh dogs and hounds. They are sometimes mixed with huskies, because of their similar appearance.

If you haven’t figured it out by their name, they’re Alaskan natives.

4. American Water Spaniel

Life span: 13-16 years

The origins of this puppy remain a mystery to this day. They were first discovered in Wisconsin and they remain a rare breed. The Water Spaniel has a double coat, which is very fluffy. This breed also likes to swim and hunt and they are, overall, loving dogs.
