4. Pointer

Another pup breed that is a lot happier when they have enough room to walk, run, and play is the Pointer. These cute pooches have a lot of energy and they really like to burn it off. They’re smart and active, and they’re usually used for hunting fowl.

As you can imagine, they prefer to be on the job rather than being lazy on the couch like other dogs. However, they need a large backyard to sniff around in, an activity that will keep their minds busy and their hearts happy.

5. Bull Terrier

If you’re looking for a medium-sized dog that has a lot of energy, a Bull Terrier might be everything you need! However, keep in mind that if you don’t give these pups plenty of room to run around and play, they are more likely to have a bad attitude and turn into destructive and mischievous pups.

…They love exploring when they’re outside, so if you have a large backyard, they will be more than happy to be your pups! 

6. Russian Toy

Just like the Chihuahua (a dog breed people usually mistake for a Russian Toy) this pup breed is absolutely adorable! You might think that they’re all cute, cuddly, and sensitive, but they actually have a big personality that keeps shining through!

They were originally bred as anti-rat pooches and also watchdogs, and it seems like the last quality is still going strong in their veins. They get easily attached to the members of their family, and they can get very temperamental when they don’t get what they want.
