We are all familiar with the feeling of horror when we walk into a room, and we’re greeted with the huge mess created by our dog. It’s like a rite of passage for our puppies to ruin an entire room simply for their pleasure.

However, you should know that not all dog breeds are like that, in fact, some are very calm and don’t have the energy and desire to ruin your home.

Don’t get us wrong we love all of them and we think the best of them, but there are certain breeds that have a destruction tendency, and here’s which ones:

1. Corgis

You wouldn’t believe that someone so small, such as the Corgi, could be capable of making such a large mess. However, the Queen’s favorite breed is a very destructive kind. The thing is, if they don’t have something to do, they will start wrecking the place.
It’s incredible how a creature that weighs between 24 to 31 pounds and isn’t bigger than 12 inches has the power to create this much mess in someone’s household.

They also tend to shed a lot. The Corgi can be easily classified as a breed that thinks they’re bigger than their actual size.

2. Beagles

If you’re like us and you looked at the picture and your heart melted, then it’s over. You’re getting one. Now, leaving all jokes aside, some of you may be surprised to know that this breed is on this list.

Beagles are America’s favorite. They are friendly and get easily excited. This breed has hunting instincts and all they want to do is explore and wander.

They are the kind of dogs that need a lot of exercise and if they don’t get enough, they will destroy their surroundings, to say the least.

It is absolutely vital to train them from an early age so that they don’t destroy your house from the ground up (just kidding).

3. Pitbull Terrier

A Pitbull Terrier has a very muscular body, energic state and that’s enough to ruin your furniture and the entire house. In order, to prevent that from happening give him lots of exercises to do and toys to play with.

Train him for obedience and make sure he isn’t left alone in the house for too long.

A lot of people have the wrong impression about this breed, thinking most of them are dangerous and highly aggressive, however, just like humans, not all dogs from this breed are the same. Properly trained, they are the cuddliest and most loveable dogs.

4. Jack Rusell

Jack Russells can get easily excited and are full of energy, so it comes as no surprise when they’ve decided to rip apart a pillow or two. Don’t leave them alone too often because it may lead to a complete disaster.

They weigh between 14 and 18 pounds, but that doesn’t stop them from wreaking havoc all around when they feel like it or when they get the chance to. Having said that, they are overall good family dogs and AMAZING companions.

They are full of affection and will be very loyal to their owner, having an affection for cuddles. Your bond with this pooch will be unbreakable.

5. Shetland Sheepdog

Shelties are adorable, small, smart, and highly curious. A lot of people choose this breed due to their amazing character, fluffy coat, and adorable appearance, but there’s more than meets the eye.

Like the other 4 breeds, they need plenty of exercise and can’t be left alone for too long because they will start demolishing and destroying your furniture and other household items.

Even though they are known to be trustworthy, they can’t be trusted to be left alone in your house. However, with the proper training, your house may have a shot at not getting completely wrecked by this adorable pooch.

6. Dachshund

Corgis aren’t the only small ones capable of creating chaos on your property. The so-called sausage dog is up to no good when left alone in your house.

It is often said that Dachshund owners don’t even dream of having more than one. They are often kept in pairs because they are very happy and get along well. It’s very difficult to housebreak them, and they have a soft spot for digging.

With this, they can end up ”digging” your nerves real quick. That being said, they are still one of the most popular dog breeds in the U.S.

7. Siberian Husky

Huskies are also a very popular breed in the U.S. They are dogs with lots of love and affection to give to their owner, they get along well with anyone, but they are overly energetic and get easily excited.

They have our hearts, they are friendly, love the outdoors, and have fun playing. That means they can’t be left alone or else…You guessed it, mass destruction awaits your home.

Training them early can be a solving option and remember that not all dogs are the same, however, I wouldn’t take any chances on that one, especially when it’s about my home.

8. Maltese

You wouldn’t expect a Maltese to be the kind of fluff bag that dismembers your house because of their gentle behavior and friendly attitude, but because many people treat them like a baby and don’t train them properly, they start acting out. Just like a spoiled child.

It’s true that they are not the easiest to train, but it’s not impossible, not even trying to do so, leads to tantrums.

Overall, they are playful, and their fluffy coat makes the pooch even more adorable. If you can train them properly, they are the best house companions for you.

9. Shiba Inu

Just by the look on their face, you can tell that they are up to no good.  Like the rest of these breeds, Shiba Inu dogs start acting out when left alone for too much time. Their favorite thing to do is run and play.

Keep in mind that even though they seem harmless and silly, they tend to be aggressive with other dogs and cats.
