1. Whippet

The Whippet is a dog breed that is very popular for being quickly domesticated. They love speed so much, that they can even go up to 35 mph, which is pretty fast for a pup. And it seems like their love for speed was actually the reason why these pooches were developed in the first place. They were bred in the United Kingdom for being rabbit coursers and race dogs.

Speaking of race, they don’t have a problem running after things or animals, especially when it comes to cats. They are quiet around the house and they’re really friendly, but if you have a kitten, they might start a race with them.

2. Schipperke

Schipperkes are very active and they’re really good at being watchdogs and vermin hunters. They enjoy knowing everything that happens around them and tend to bark a lot, so you better teach them not to.

These pups can easily adapt to several housing conditions, whether it’s country or city life and they don’t require a lot of grooming. All you have to do is give them regular baths and some weekly brushing. Even though they might be low-maintenance and fun to have in your home, they won’t be very happy to share the same roof with a cat.

3. Siberian Husky

Siberian Huskies are one of the most beautiful dog breeds in the world, but their cuteness is equal to the amount of attention they want to receive from you. Unless you’re not a pro at owning pups or you have another pet at home, aka a cat, these are not for you.

They need a lot of space to feel comfortable and if you’re not home and they happen to get bored or crave your attention, they will surely have something to say about it. Sure, you can make a kitten and a Siberian Husky be BFFs, but you have to adopt them when they’re little, so they get the chance to grow up together. Otherwise, don’t act surprised if you see that your cat is running away as fast as possible from your pooch.
