7. Trouble – $12 million

We don’t know about you, but if someone were to give us $12 million just because they love us and we’re pretty, we would happily sign up for early retirement and move to a tropical island to sip on margaritas all day long.

But unfortunately, we are not lucky as Trouble, a white Maltese terrier that used to belong to Leona Helmsley, is. His “hooman” was an American businesswoman, the owner of a popular hotel chain in America. When the “Queen of Mean” (Leona received this nickname because of her wealth and the bad way she treated the staff) died in 2017, the only heir that was mentioned in her will was her dog, Trouble.

After his owner died, the dog lived in a very expensive home, had his own limousine, and only ate the best food possible. However, the family didn’t like the fact that they didn’t receive anything, so they launched into a legal battle. After a while, the judge decided that Mrs. Helmsley wasn’t feeling well when she wrote the will, so they reduced Trouble’s inheritance to $2 million.

Not really a pet, but this hen, Gigoo, truly lays golden eggs. Gigoo was considered to be the most precious thing that British publishing mogul Miles Blackwell ever had. And we’re sure about it, because in 2011, the year he died, he left the hen with a fortune of no less than $15 million. Even though he donated most of his capital to plenty of charities, he couldn’t leave his beloved pet penniless.

Even though this cute pet is no longer with us, everyone knew who Grumpy Cat was! The popular Internet star became famous for her cheerless facial expression, and the owner thought it was a good idea to have a brand of coffee in the cat’s name and even a Christmas movie.

The cat was so appreciated by people that she quickly became an Instagram star with over 2 million devoted fans. As for money, the cat’s value has been estimated to be roughly $100 million.

2. Choupette – approximately $200 million

We are sure you are aware that Chanel designer Karl Lagerfeld was a very controversial man who frequently made disparaging remarks about people and how they looked or dressed. However, we can’t argue the fact that he was extremely talented and many of his actions left the world speechless.

One of the things he did was to leave his whole fortune to his beloved blue-cream tortie Birman cat, Choupette. The pet received $195 million from the owner, but she also made $3 million in her own right from different jobs she had, such as modeling contracts and endorsements.

The richest pet on our planet is a cute German Shepherd dog named Gunther IV. The dog lives a beautiful and extravagant life in Germany and is also the owner of a huge villa in the Bahamas and a ritzy mansion in Miami that was once occupied by Madonna.

The pup used to belong to Countess Karlotta Lieberstein of Germany, a woman who left her entire net worth, approximately $372 million at the time, to her beloved dog, Gunther III. However, the estate officials made some profitable investments, so Gunther III’s descendant, Gunther IV, received an inheritance of $375 million.
