Glass shrimp

The glass shrimp also known as ghost shrimp is an amazing creature that you can see the food in their digestive tract if you look closer. I know this sounds really crazy, but it is actually true! 

These species of shrimps are easy to keep in the aquarium and you probably can find one even at your local pet store, but unfortunately, their life span is just one year. Sadly, glass shrimps are often bought as foods for larger fish. Nevertheless, if you want a glass shrimp as a pet you should know that you won’t see it very often, but putting a black aquarium background makes them easier to see. The ghost shrimp food can include some forms of algae, dead plant matter and detritus.
