According to farmers, when cows become agitated, impatient and start to kill flies with their tails, it means that they feel the rain or storms approaching. Additionally, they predict the early rains even when they lie down in a field or when the bulls enter first in the pasture. Their tail is also important in this process because an east-oriented tail means bad weather and a west-oriented tail means the day is going to be serene.
