Saola

Found only in the Annamite Mountains of Vietnam and Laos, the saola (SOW-la) was only discovered in 1992, according to the World Wildlife Fund. Known as the Asian unicorn, the saola is critically endangered and has rarely been seen.

  1. This is why I cannot STAND the zoo!! It’s a travesty!! These animals are meant to be FREE!! Not to be gawked at, behind bars and glass, at a zoo. It’s just sickening. They are taken, brought into these BS conditions and then, they die!

    Shame on anyone associated with such a scenario! They may as well be Slave Owners!

    1. I think you need to do a bit of research on all the good zoos do for conservation and protecting animals in the wild. They also teach children to respect the diversity of nature. People rarely care about something they have never seen.
