Great white shark
Aquariums have tried to keep great white sharks in captivity—with little success. In 2016, a great white shark died after three days in a Japanese aquarium, NPR reported. The shark refused to eat. Great white sharks also like to roam. “We can’t replicate their habitat in a way that they would be able to survive in captivity,” Mizejewski says.

in the zoo in Rochester ny they have 2 rhinos in captivity full grown at that
They are referring to a Javan Rhino
This is why I cannot STAND the zoo!! It’s a travesty!! These animals are meant to be FREE!! Not to be gawked at, behind bars and glass, at a zoo. It’s just sickening. They are taken, brought into these BS conditions and then, they die!
Shame on anyone associated with such a scenario! They may as well be Slave Owners!

I think you need to do a bit of research on all the good zoos do for conservation and protecting animals in the wild. They also teach children to respect the diversity of nature. People rarely care about something they have never seen.
Monterey Bay Aquarium had a great white shark for 198 days.
I haven’t seen many cuttlefish in zoos Where would I see one they’re interesting animals.
