Filippo the friendly dolphin

A teenage boy was on his dad’s boat off Manfredonia in southeastern Italy when he fell into the choppy waves and started drowning. A friendly dolphin there named Filippo, a popular tourist attraction in the area after becoming separated from its school of dolphins, swam over and pushed the boy up out of the water.

The boy said when he realized what was happening, he grabbed onto Filippo, who then got close enough to the boat for the boy’s dad to grab him.
