9 Most Loving And Playful Cat Breeds

Pets are the greatest companions we could have ever asked for. However, there are some pets with which it’s sometimes hard to get along, and we all know what I am talking about: cats.

We are not saying they are not as great or as adorable as other pets, but they tend to have a temper or an attitude. However, we don’t blame them, we sometimes tend to have that towards other people as well.

Not all cats are the same though, some playful and loving breeds aren’t shy to show you their affection, and here are the best ones:

1. Siamese

The blue-eyed breed has a life expectancy between 8 to 12 years. They can be easily described as loyal and loving. The Siamese cat enjoys playing games and likes several fun activities.

2. Turkish Angora

The fluffy white kitty is very cuddly, playful, and calm. They live between 15-18 years, and they get along well with children and other people. Their favorite options for toys are in general catnip-filled toys and crumbled-up paper.

3. Birman

Birman cats tend to be very territorial, however, don’t worry, they are not aggressive at all. They enjoy catnip toys and the laser pen chasing game. Like most ladies, they also prefer to be the only felines in your life.

Their lifespan is between 14-15 years.

4. Manx

The Manx cat is gentle and playful. They will go as far as bringing toys to you as a way of asking you to play with them.

In general, they live up to 20 years, however, this breed is prone to a heart problem which can cause death in the early years, but if they pass that they have a good chance of living up to 20 years.

5. Burmilla

Burmilla cats are a good choice for those of you who live in an apartment because of their calm and laid-back personality. That being said, don’t let this fool you, they have a playful nature and are energetic as well.

This breed is also very smart and can solve puzzles, open doors, and cabinets. That’s quite impressive!

6. Bengal 

The tiger look-alike breed is larger than most kinds of cats and more muscular. Bengals are courageous and they like to play a ”hunting” game with other animals so if you have other pets as well, get ready for them to be the cat’s target.

7. Munchkin

This breed is BEYOND adorable! They are very small and don’t grow more than 8 inches tall so they keep their cute appearance for the rest of their lives. They like to play with different toys, they are cuddly and affectionate.

They live up to 14 years.

8. Shorthair

Shorthairs are friendly, calm, and like to play with their owners. They will be your best companions for the next 15-20 years. There are as many as 300 different colors and breeds in which you can find them in.

9. Turkish Van

Turkish van cats live between 13 and 17 years. Their fur coat is unique, they have an all-white body with a few color stains. They will play games with you and enjoy them. Curious, friendly, and highly intelligent are among the words to describe them best.
