11 U.S. Bugs That Can Literally Kill People

In the U.S. you can find lots of interesting animals, some of them are adorable with highly intellectual skills and some are just plain dangerous and everything, but friendly.

We can honestly say that the animal kingdom is truly great, there are some animals that without a doubt outsmart us, some of them even have death rituals and there are even beautiful hybrids out there in nature.

Yes, they are incredible, however, some of them are incredibly deadly, and since the U.S. is so big, there are a lot of creatures that can harm us, and, shockingly, the most dangerous ones, are also the tiniest!

1. Africanized Honey Bees

Unlike the European bee, these are more aggressive and a lot faster. When disturbed, they tend to act quicker and in a larger number. The stinging is also more painful, and do it repeatedly.

2. Arizona Bark Scorpions

This one is the most dangerous scorpion found in the U.S. and it’s common in Arizona and California. If one gets stung by this scorpion you should seek medical help immediately, if not treated as fast as possible it can turn out deadly.

3. Red Harvest Ants

Red Harvest Ants are commonly found in the western part of the U.S., mostly in Texas. You may think that ants, in general, are harmless, however, these ants bite harder than anything else you’ve ever experienced.

4. Fire Ants as well

Unlike the previous ones, these are more common in the southern part of the U.S. They are ruthless and will gang up and kill the person that disturbs them.

5. Paper wasps

If you cross their territory, they will sting you and it can cause some severe allergic reactions.

6. Io moth caterpillars 

These ones can be found in the South and if they sting you, you will be in horrific pain, worse than from that of a wasp or bee.

7. Wheel bugs 

Wheel bugs are predators and, in general, they only tend to attack insects, however, if people disturb them, they WILL attack. If they pick on you, their bite isn’t deadly, but it is very painful.

8. Tarantula Hawks

This insect is among the most venomous ones in the WORLD! Luckily, its target is usually other arachnids or insects, not humans. Its venom is strong enough to paralyze you.

Stay away from these ones at all costs!

9. Kissing bugs 

These are becoming a big concern for Americans since they’re starting to extend its territory from Mexico and the southern part of the U.S. to the whole country. What is worrying about this seemingly innocent bug is the fact that it carries a parasite responsible for the Chagas disease.

10. Ticks

These are actually dangerous because of the diseases they carry. Besides Lyme disease, they also carry anaplasmosis, Rocky Mountain spotted fever and babesiosis.

They are very small, and most people don’t even notice them crawling around on their bodies. They are usually present in parks and gardens.

11. Bed bugs

Every home owner’s nightmare is a bed bug infestation. Once they reach your bed they are basically very hard to get rid of. These are known to feed on human blood and leave very painful bites.

If you have any concern that you may have bed bugs call a specialist immediately, they will know what to do in order to rid you of your problem.
