Narwhal

Known as the unicorns of the sea for their long, narrow tusks, narwhals are elusive. They’re skittish and hunt deep in the water. “Unlike other whales, narwhals—which can live more than 100 years—die shortly in captivity, greatly reducing the opportunity to study them,” according to the Smithsonian. “We’ve only had a glimpse of the beast,” Canadian narwhal specialist Pierre Richard told the magazine.

  1. This is why I cannot STAND the zoo!! It’s a travesty!! These animals are meant to be FREE!! Not to be gawked at, behind bars and glass, at a zoo. It’s just sickening. They are taken, brought into these BS conditions and then, they die!

Shame on anyone associated with such a scenario! They may as well be Slave Owners!

    1. I think you need to do a bit of research on all the good zoos do for conservation and protecting animals in the wild. They also teach children to respect the diversity of nature. People rarely care about something they have never seen.
