Your favorite animal may be on one of these islands. If they aren’t then you should add these new destinations to your bucket list. Let’s see where these magical places are:
1. Flamingo Island
Located in Aruba, this island is filled with flamingos. It has everything that you’ve ever wished for: white sands, turquoise waters, and pink companions. This amazing hot spot is owned by the Renaissance Hotel.
It offers a boat tour around Flamingo Island and other Caribbean islands. The hotel has a whole package that includes this, in exchange for a fee of course.

2. Miyajima Island
The Miyajima island is located in Japan and it’s filled with deer. There are more than 1,000 deer on this island, completely friendly and sociable. Every day they greet tourists from all around the world.
While you’re here bear in mind that you’re not allowed by law to feed them.
3. Okunoshima Island
Japan seems like a dreamy place because not only is there a deer island, there’s also a rabbit island. There are hundreds of rabbits living on Okunoshima. It’s unknown how they came to be here, and predators aren’t allowed.
Unfortunately, because of the fact that tourists aren’t doing any proper research before arriving here, they end up giving out food that’s bad for the bunnies. The Government is still not sure how to handle this situation.
4. Assateague Island
Near the coast of Maryland, this breathtaking island is every horse lover’s dream. There are over 30 miles of beach and over 300 exotic bird species. But the main attraction remains the horses.
Here you can go on a cruise or kayaking tours where you can watch the ponies have the time of their lives. In the month of July there are over 40,000 tourists that see this amazing place.
5. Pig Beach
As you have probably guessed, this island is filled with pigs. It’s located in the Bahamas about 82 miles south of Nassau. There are several tourists that visit this island just to see and feed the piglets.
The Pig Beach can only be accessed by boat, so those of you who wish to visit it need to sign up for a tour guide.
6. Duiker Island
There are almost 6,000 cape fur seals located on Duiker Island, also known as Seal Island (for obvious reasons). This place is home to many wildlife species, including African penguins.
If you take a boat tour you can easily see the pack of many many seals.
7. Macquarie Island
In Australia, there’s an island where its only occupants are PENGUINS! Yes, you read that right. There are over 4 million penguins living here! You can take a boat tour to see the magnificent creatures.
Bear in mind that you may need a permit in order to catch a glimpse of the biosphere.
8. Ainoshima Island
Remember what we’ve said earlier about Japan? Well, here’s another dreamy island full of cats! That’s right, so, if you’re a kitty lover buckle up and take a trip to this small corner of fur.
Japan is also home to 11 more cat islands! That sounds crazy, but that’s because fishermen living on the island wanted to get rid of the mice and have brought multiple cats to do the job.
9. Lambay Island
This island is truly incredible. Even though it’s located in Ireland it has large groups of wallabies, and marsupials, usually only seen in Australia. They have been there since the 1950s.
Animals are pretty good at hiding so we don’t know for sure how many of them are on the island. You can visit it by boat and hopefully you will spot one of them.
10. Kauai Island
Kauai island is a Hawaiian paradise for chickens. Its beaches are breathtaking, and there are thousands of birds of this kind, with no predators. However, researchers have no idea how they got here.
