Some of us REALLY just hate spiders. Personally, I am trembling just by writing this piece, however it’s good to know this information.

Spiders can be dangerous especially in some corners of the world.

There are over 45,000 known species of spiders in fact and some can be deadly, which is why we believe it’s best if we let you know which ones live in your state.

Let’s take a look at each state and see what kinds are present there.

Warning: If you hate them just as much as we do it’s not gonna be that pleasant to read about it.

1. In the state of Alabama there are:

Southern Black Widow-the cousin of Black Widow, will eat their mate, it’s rarely fatal and has longer legs compared to the body, they can have red patches on top of the abdomen;
• Northern Black Widow- its bite causes severe pain and must be treated urgently, the mating season is in April-May;
• Brown Widow- shaped like an hourglass and has a much more light color, their bites are not dangerous, but they are painful;
• Brown Recluse- if they bite you urgently need medical care, they can be brown to dark grey, they have a violin
• Chilean Recluse- one of the most deadly spiders in the world, it’s brown and has some marks on its dorsal side;
• Mediterranean Recluse-its bite can cause severe skin issues, it’s sometimes confused with the brown recluse.

If you live here, we’ll pray for you.

2. You may be happy to learn there are no dangerous species in Alaska (we know where we’ll be moving).

If you happen to live in Alaska you can breathe normal again. Once we book our flight we’ll do the same.

3. In Arizona you may encounter :

Arizona Brown Spider- part of the Sicariidae family

Even though we expected to find more species here we can happily say we aren’t disappointed.

4. Arkansas hosts:

Southern Black Widow

Another state which isn’t the home of too many spider species. What a relief for those ones living in Arkansas!

5. If you live in California you should expect:

Western Black Widow- it’s usually black with a red hourglass on it’s back, but it can also be yellow and rarely even white;
Brown Widow
Chilean Recluse
Desert Recluse- a brown spider from the Sicariidae family;
• Yellow Sac Spider-their bites are painful, they have a unique color, but their abdomen can be either beige or yellow;

California is supposed to be the state where all dreams come true and so much more. This is a nightmare. We don’t want nightmares!

6. In Colorado and New Mexico the most common are:

Western Black Widow

Brown Recluse

The first two are very dangerous, but we can’t say the same about the last one (it’s not like the president will come and bite you in your sleep).

Black Widow

•  Yellow Sac Spider

36. Wisconsin has:

Northern Black Widow

Brown Recluse

37. And finally, Wyoming:

Western Black Widow

Brown Recluse

Final Word

These species are highly dangerous and leaving all jokes aside you should pay attention to them. Don’t leave your doors wide open for too long, so they won’t get in the house.

Make sure there are no other small holes or anything of a sort through which they can come inside.

If you see one call an extermination company they will know how to take care of this.

If you happen to be one of the people that gets extremely panicked when they see a spider follow the preview step and try to breathe regularly, call someone if you feel like you can’t feel better, a doctor or a relative.
