When you’re thinking about taking in a pet you probably have in mind a dog, a cat, or maybe a fish. These are the first simple options anyone would have in mind before adding a new member into their household, right?

Well, apparently for celebrities, SIMPLE is NOT an option, at least for some of them. Over the years, they shocked us with their looks, actions, and…well, pets. Let’s take a look at the following celebrities that have no issues with adopting exotic animals:

Stay tuned for numbers 7 and 10, you won’t believe WHICH celebrities adopted THESE wild animals.

1. Mike Tyson: Pigeons

Well, this is an interesting and touching story. Tyson’s youngest daughter tragically died in a car crash in 2009. He was very enraged and saddened by the loss, but instead of acting according to his rage, he decided to turn his life around.

He remembered that as a kid, he loved birds, and so, he decided to take in pigeons. Tyson found solace in sitting with his pigeons in their coop.

2. Jennifer Garner: Chicken

Over the years, the actress had several chickens, but the most popular one was Regina George. There’s even a viral picture of the actress walking Regina on a leash.

When we thought we’ve just seen it all, there comes a chicken named Regina walking around on a leash. I mean… at least it was a popular chick.

3. Nicole Kidman: Alpaca

Nicole Kidman married Keith Urban in 2006 and they share two children and a farm in Tennessee where they have several adorable alpacas. Kidman has a soft spot for them.

4. Martha Stewart: Chinchillas

In the past years, Stewart has had over 15 chinchillas! She even has some recommendations on how to be a good parent for a chinchilla. If this means Living the good life, we are all for it.

Besides being absolutely amazing, Martha Stewart can also be called a proud mother of a chinchilla.

5. Leonardo DiCaprio: Tortoise

It’s no wonder that an environmental activist such as Leonardo DiCaprio would pay right on the spot to have an African-spurred tortoise. He was attending the North American Reptile Breeders Conference and Trade Show in Anaheim and that’s when he decided to step in, pay $400 and take this unusual companion at home.

6. Charlie Sheen: Chinese Water Dragon

Does it REALLY surprise us that Charlie Sheen has a Water Dragon? In the past, he even had a bearded dragon. Unfortunately, both died. One drowned in the pool, and the other met its death from improper care.

7. Beyonce: Snake

Some time ago, when Queen B was living with her cousin, her cousin had a pet snake. The singer became so fond of the snake she slept with it, and they even watched TV together. Sadly, her father was not having it and made the girls find a new home for the animal.

Quite understandably, if you ask us.

If you thought you were shocked now, wait until you see what’s on the next page:

8. Cheryl Hines: Emu

Apparently, the emu was a gift from her husband for their daughter. The emu was originally meant to stay outside, but that wasn’t in the cards for the animal because the family dog kept opening the door.

Normally, the emu would come in. The Hines family eventually gave the emu to a farm, as a gift from the actress.

9. David Beckham: Micro pigs?

You know your wife is the best when she gifts you two micro pigs named Pinky and Perky. We are jealous we are not as cool as Victoria Beckham.

10. Kirstie Alley: 14 LEMURS?!

Apparently, one would just be too much of an easy job for the actress.

11. Melanie Griffith: Lion

When she was in her teens, Griffith’s parents bought her a male lion, so that she can do research for a movie. However, they weren’t going to stop there, Neil (the lion) was the first on a list of many.

Today, their family is actually very against this and they’ve started a sanctuary for big cats in California.

12. Also, Mike Tyson

While he was in prison, Tyson’s car dealer said he could trade in his cars for almost anything. The boxer then asked for white Bengal tiger cubs.

Has everyone just gotten sick of puppies or REGULAR-sized cats?!
