They are very affectionate and intelligent animals that love to spend time with their owners.

They can get along well with other animals and children, but they have to be socialized properly for that.

If you are ready to adopt a Border Collie it’s important to know that they should consume their energy, otherwise they can develop a problematic behavior in your house.

This next breed will never get tired of your company…..

  1. My parents had a Australian Shepard, he was very easy to train, he just had too much energy for them, but he was a very intelligent sweet dog.

  2. Black Lab. Loyal, smart, sweet, easy train, empathetic, just ‘knows’ what humans need and when (especially with kids)

  3. My female Dalmatian was one of the smartest. Now I got a Bugg ,a Boston Terrier and a English Mastiff. I think it’s how you approach training, all three are extremely well trained, they do things that amaze me ,I use hand signals for all my dogs especially the Mastiff

    1. Sandy, things will go better for you both, if you think of “show and tell”, rather than “discipline.” And if you reward the desired doggy response, you’re halfway there.

    2. Yes, just be sure to find a good trainer based on the breed and if your dog has any behavioral issues that need to be addressed. Good luck, you will be amazed.
