Bullmastiff
The Bullmastiff is another silent dog breed that doesn’t bark for no reason. They are often regarded as the “silent watchdog,” making them perfect for people who live in an apartment. Although they are large dogs, they are gentle, loving, smart, and friendly souls.
What many people don’t know about this breed is that they don’t really need a lot of exercise, but they will be satisfied with a few short daily walks to meet their needs. In addition, this dog breed sheds little and requires only minimal grooming, so they are excellent companions for people who suffer from pet allergies.
Importantly, you have to take into consideration before adopting such a breed that they can be aggressive towards other animals, especially if they are not properly socialized – but this can be found in any pet, regardless of their breed.

Thank you for all this information. Keep writing about different types of dogs and their personalities. Keeping people informed before they adopt or buy a pet. I really enjoyed reading this.
You left out husky and Alaskan malamute.
You left out the Japanese Chin.
The sharpei is not a good family breed dog or dog for most people. It was bred to fight and retains that aggression. Training cannot override centuries of breeding for fighting and it’s a liability to attack people or other animals without warning. My neighbor’s sheep were disemboweled by a sharpie that jumped their fence and attached them. Chow is another with too much selection for aggression in the blood. These are both on the uninsurable list for homeowner’s insurance for a reason.
I’m surprised Boston Terrier is not on this list. My Boston Terrier will only bark when told to.
